Directions for Use:
Because this product has a fusible coating on both sides, it is essential to cover your ironing surface with a heat resistant Teflon pressing sheet or parchment paper. Lay the fleece down on the protected ironing surface, smooth the fabric (wrong side facing down) over the shiny (fusible) surface of the fleece. Have your iron heated to medium and then press down firmly on the fabric (using the continuous steam feature is ideal). Be sure your iron touches the fabric only, NOT the fleece. Use a press cloth/sheet to protect your iron if needed. **It may be necessary to hold the iron in place for several seconds to achieve a good bond. Repeat this process until all areas have been fused.
**Just like traditional quilt batting, it is also recommended to cut Home Dec Fleece – Double Fusible at least one inch larger than your fabric piece and then trim to size after it is fused into place.
**Because all irons vary in temperature settings, start at a lower setting and gradually increase the heat setting until you get a good fuse. It is important to test your iron and settings on a scrap of fabric before beginning your project.
This product is washer/dryer friendly but should be tested before using within your project.
